KEEPING OUR CUSTOMERS & STAFF SAFE
PUB & RESTAURANT
To keep our team and our customers safe, we’ve made some important changes to the drinking and dining experience here at The Kings Arms;
All team members and customers must wear face coverings when in our restaurant (obviously we don’t expect face coverings to be worn whilst eating and drinking, but please wear one at all other times).
We are only allowing bookings / walk-ins of tables up to 6 people
The government has advised that pubs, restaurants and bars collect contact details from all customers in order to support the national ‘track and trace initiative’. As such, we are asking all customers who wish to dine with us to pre-book a table by calling 01395 568416 or completing our online form. Customers who do not pre-book a table, or who are simply visiting the Kings Arms for a drink or two, will be asked to complete our register on arrival and scan the NHS QR code using the NHS Test & Trace App (Apple/Android).
To ensure we comply with physical distancing guidelines, we now have fewer tables (with more space between them) and a one-way system around the pub; we’ve also installed multiple hand-sanitising stations and a toilet for customers sitting outside.
We’ll be taking cashless payments at the table, rather than at the bar, and customers who choose to sit at one of our outside tables can order and pay for their drinks via our new online ordering system; simply scan the QR code provided at the table, then choose and pay for your drinks. Outdoor customers who wish to place food orders will need to enter the premises and order and pay at the till, and we will then deliver your order to your table.
Team health is checked regularly, and we continue to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
Following government guidelines, last orders at the bar will be at 10pm.
It goes without saying that, if you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 or you feel you may be at risk of severe illness if you catch the virus, then please remain at home. We appreciate that things seem very different at the moment, but – while we have had to make some changes in order to keep our staff and customers safe – please rest assured that you can expect the same convivial atmosphere and great-tasting food and drink we’ve always offered at the Kings.
