The Kings Arms Otterton is owned by the Carter family who also operate Greendale Farm Shop – this means we’re fortunate enough to have a locally-sourced supply of the freshest meat and fish available, ready to take a starring role in our carefully prepared menu. All Greendale meat can be traced directly, either to the family’s East Devon farm, where animals graze fields overlooking the Jurassic coast, or to a handful of trusted local suppliers. Prepared on-site at the Farm Shop by expert butchers, Greendale produce – from burgers and sausages to chops and roasts – has the shortest of journeys from pasture to plate. The Greendale Group are also proud owners of several fishing vessels, which land their catches locally, often just a few miles from the Kings Arms and the Greendale Farm Shop. Again, this means we reap the benefits; after being prepared for us by the Farm Shop’s skilled fishmongers, freshly-caught fish arrives at our kitchen, where our simply prepared, delicious dishes allow their superb freshness to shine. Greendale Farm Shop is easy to find, situated on the A3052 Sidmouth to Exeter road at Farringdon. Drop by and discover the wide selection of farm-reared meats and fresh fish for yourself, as well as fresh fruit and veg, free-range eggs, locally-baked bread and much, much more. You can also enjoy breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea at the Farm Shop’s popular café, open 8am to 8pm Monday-Saturday, and 9am to 6pm on Sunday.
